A local Maui resident since 1988, Dave has developed an extensive knowledge of this beautiful island, it’s diverse climates and topographies, and also of the special types of communities around the island. Pick your lifestyle, and Dave can take you there.
Passion for the ocean, Maui and Andrea!
It was the ocean that brought Dave here. Growing up in Florida, he acquired a lifelong passion for surfing. Dave’s travels took him from Miami to Maui, and also introduced him to his future wife, Andrea. “I fell in love with Andrea, then Maui and the rest is history!”
Dave understands Maui home ownership, literally from the ground up.
Dave found his piece of paradise and built his family’s home from the ground up. Dave has always enjoyed carpentry and landscaping. While in college, he explored architecture and technical drawing. He employs these interests when renovating properties and when helping other folks to discover great opportunities. “I delight in helping them to realize their dream of finding a home they can make their own.”
A doting father to beautiful Sabrina, Dave still makes time for active involvement in our Maui community.
Dave and Andrea are the proud parents of Sabrina, who graduated from Haleakala Waldorf School and now attends Seabury Hall. Dave serves as a director on the Waldorf School’s Board, serves on their Building and Grounds Committee, chairs the annual Holiday Faire food committee, chairs the Waldorf High School Committee. He’s a Board member of the Realtor Association of Maui, serving as the Regional Director for the UpCountry area, is a member of the Maui Chamber of Commerce, Maui Arts & Cultural Center, is a Board member of the Maui Executives Association, serving as chair of the Membership and Ethics Committees and is Board President of the Hea’aula Owners Association. Dave’s still a passionate surfer, and loves kitesurfing, playing golf and sharing his discoveries. Most of all, he enjoys being Andrea’s husband and Sabrina’s dad.
A winning, positive approach to everything.
“I have known Dave Futch for many years,” says Mark Phipps. “I find him to be one of the most highly motivated, creative and enthusiastic individuals I’ve ever had the pleasure to associate with. Whatever task he takes on, he pursues it with all his energy. Dave has a refreshingly personal touch that is hard to find in today’s marketplace. His people skills and sales skills leave everyone involved feeling like a winner.”
“I’ve always been a people person,” Dave acknowledges. “I pride myself on my integrity, hard work and enthusiasm – values my parents gave me. But what I really get a kick out of is making people happy.”
“I honor those individuals who have left a legacy, whether it’s inventing a light bulb or the Theory of Realitivity, quantum physics or Velcro. Helping other folks attain the home they’ve always wanted-that’s a pretty good legacy, too.”
Being raised in Lahaina in the 70's was fun, to say the least. Everything was happening, the building boom, the tourist industry, the waves, Maui was becoming a world class destination. With my family being heavily involved in the building industry of the late 60's and into the 70's and 80's I could see that things where changing fast. Life is full of compromises, but where do you draw the line? Leaving Hawaii was mine. After surfing through high school at Lahainaluna and moving to the Big Island for two years at UH Hilo I finally made
it to Oahu and the University of Hawaii. Three years later and lots of surf, I was back on Maui ready to make a name for myself. Having come to the realization that surfing for a living was out of the question (the pros at that time made less than waiters) my mom convinced me that to have a real-estate license couldn't hurt. 1982 seems like a life time ago now but you know what they say "always listen to your mother".
Real-estate has been good to me. What other industry can you work in that mandates fun.
I used to joke that I made my best contacts while in the water. Guess what, its true. I have been blessed with meeting some of the most incredible people through my work and having the pleasure of helping them purchase their dream properties. Don't get me wrong, I have a strict business ethic, WORK HARD PLAY HARD. After setting up my own office in 1991 I soon learned the down side of being the boss of a real-estate firm, if you spend all your time keeping your sales people busy you don't have time to make any sales. You may remember the early nineties were not that friendly to realtors, or any one for that matter. Back to basics, I downsized my office and started doing what I love, meeting fantastic people and helping them purchase their dream.
It sure is easy to fall into that rut called reality. Home, office, cars, mortgages, kids (love the Kids) and all the responsibilities that come with "success". Is there still time to surf? Oh Ya, you make time. Having made a yearly migration chasing the big ones through the South Pacific and the Indian Oceans I can tell you from experience that nothing motivates me to work harder than a good surf trip.
Where am I now? I still spend most of my time helping friends, new and old, buy into the dream here on Maui, but I have been spending more and more time on Molokai "The Most Hawaiian Island". Just remember the next time you are in the waters of Maui or Molokai and see a guy with a big smile on his face you might be looking at the SURFER THAT SELLS REAL-ESTATE!

Aloha - Living on Maui is truly a wonderful experience, both because of the inspiring natural beauty and the warm friendly people. Mark knew when he first landed on Maui back in 1979 that he had found his new home. Days after graduating from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, he flew into Lahaina in the middle of a violent Kona storm. But, the next day the clouds disappeared, the Maui sun and magic shined through, and Mark turned in at the first help wanted sign. He worked the Kaanapali resorts in the evenings and surfed his days away until he met a beautiful girl from San Diego. Mark was then blessed with two wonderful children and the uncertain opportunity of managing a small vacation rental program at Puamana. Fortunately, as his family grew, so did his real estate career. Many wonderful years rolled by and both of his children are now raised and graduated from college. His daughter Kelli is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and son Andy is his Real Estate Partner. Mark is now a grandfather and with the help of his experienced crew manages his client's 100 vacation rentals allowing him time to work with his son to help others find their perfect Maui home on this beautiful Island.
Andy was born on Maui and grew up in Puamana enjoying the tropical lifestyle of palm tree filled vistas, warm year round sunshine and the Aloha Spirit. He discovered the perfect balance between enjoying the Hawaii lifestyle, surfing, school and sports to successfully earn his Business degree in Hotel Industry Management at the University of Manoa on Oahu. He enjoyed Oahu and made many wonderful friends but shortly after graduating secured his real estate license and returned home to create a successful family Real Estate team.
Call Mark & Andy today, "one call does it all" (sale, property management and vacation rentals) then kick back, relax, enjoy the Maui lifestyle and share the Aloha.
Bringing a successful record of nearly a decade of real estate sales on Maui, Josh Jerman has distinguished himself as both a rising star and industry leader in Hawaii real estate. This should come as no surprise, as he has proven time and time again that the market may change, but ambition never does.
The Josh Jerman team includes two salespeople, Souksamlane Jerman, R(S) and Ilsa Mitchell Jencks, R(S). His team runs like a well-oiled machine. The sales volume and level of service they're able to provide is astounding. The Josh Jerman team has adapted to the changes in both the real estate market as well as the industry, by incorporating systems and team members to handle not only short sales and bank-owned inventory (REOs), but also luxury real estate in Wailea and Makena in South Maui.
Raised in Upcountry Maui, Josh attended Baldwin High School before heading to Seattle to attend the University of Washington. There, he graduated cum laude with two bachelor's degrees, one in International Relations of the Asia-Pacific Region and the other in Comparative Religion. He has traveled the world (23 countries and counting), and has lived in Indonesia, Nepal and Scotland. He has hiked to Machu Picchu and to Mount Everest's Base Camp, canoed the Amazon River and swam in the Ganges, trekked in the North Pole and touched the Great Wall of China. Throughout his adventures, Josh developed an appreciation, awareness and respect for all people, an experience that inspired him to give back to his community.
Josh returned to Maui to start his career, and over the years, he has earned a solid reputation for professionalism and personal integrity. His hard work and success has not gone unnoticed. Josh has been recognized by Pacific Business News as one of the "Top 40 Under Forty" professionals in the State of Hawai'i. He was also named one of the Maui Weekly's Unsung Heroes of 2010 for his philanthropic endeavors, as well as Person of the Year in 2011. Josh was also honored as the recipient of Maui County's Young Business Person of Year Award for 2012, and was recently listed as one of the Top 100 Realtors in the State of Hawai'i.
Josh's expertise as a broker extends far beyond the four walls of his office in the Wailea Town Center. He serves on the Realtors Association of Maui (RAM) Board of Directors, the Hawai'i Association of Realtors Young Professionals Network and the RAM Education Committee. And when it comes to education, it's safe to say Josh has the market cornered. As a real estate columnist for the Maui Weekly, he encouraged readers to Ask Josh about a range of issues. In addition, as the founder of the Josh Jerman Foundation and the Josh Jerman Maui Nui Scholarship, he has awarded more than $26,000 to college-bound high school students across Maui County.
If there's one thing to be said about Josh, it's that he is dedicated to delivering the highest level of customer service, in order to achieve the best results for his clientele.
