Inside Aerosmith Rocker Steven Tyler’s Maui Beach House

Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, a long time visitor to Maui, decided to call Maui home (or one of his homes) awhile back and ever since has immersed himself in the local island scene. He’s often spotted out and about with fellow world-famous celebrities as well as fellow every day islanders. Steven has become a staple Maui celebrity.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Tyler purchased a home on the prestigious Makena district in South Maui. Makena is also rumored to be home (or in this case, second-home) to a myriad of celebrities, including Jennifer Aniston and Clint Eastwood.

According to the Realtor Association of Maui’s MLS records, the 2-bedroom, 3.5-bath home features 3,000 square feet of interior space, covered outdoor living space of over 1,400 square feet, plus high-end fixtures like marble countertops and floor-to-ceiling sliding pocket doors that disappear into the walls.

Built in 1988 and situated on a quarter-acre lot, Tyler’s Maui home boasts an infinity-edged saline pool that overlooks the ocean and floor-to-ceiling aquarium. Situated on a point, it has ocean views from three different sides of the house.

This Hawaiiana-style beach house was originally listed for $6.495 million but sold for $4.8 million after being on the market for over 500 days. Sean Crawley and Thomas Muldoon of Coldwell Banker Island Properties Wailea listed the property and Bob Hansen of Maui Estates International represented the buyer.
